Covid-19 (Corona Virus) - Club Statement

Dear Members,

The club have considered the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 outbreak and are issuing the following advice for the time being:-

If anyone coming to the club has any of the typical symptoms of the virus i.e. cough, high temperature and cold – we would strongly advise them to go home and self-isolate.
PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE CLUBHOUSE WHERE THERE IS A FAR GREATER RISK OF SPREADING THE VIRUS.

Anyone coming into the clubhouse area MUST use the hand sanitisers situated just inside the main entrance, the gents locker room and the ladies locker room.

The club staff will ensure that they are constantly cleaning all surfaces where members are likely to come into contact with i.e. door handles, table surfaces bar top surfaces etc.

We would strongly encourage members playing golf not to touch rakes or remove flags from the holes – greens staff will clean the surfaces of the flag poles and rakes as often as possible.

If the situation at the club escalates and we have confirmed cases, the clubhouse will close for a period of time to be deep-cleaned and thereafter re-opened after a period of probably 24 to 48 hours.

It is the hope of the Committee and staff at the club that we can stay open and still function within the current guidelines set by the government but we will keep reviewing the situation and take into consideration the advice available.

Let us continue to react to a fast moving situation by putting our members’ safety a top priority whilst still allowing our members the pleasure of playing the course.

Thanks

J Davidson
Secretary
